Automatic Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) at Mt. Moriah
Do you have your pay check direct deposited to your bank? Do you have your mortgage or car payment automatically withdrawn from your checking or savings account?
We have a way you can have your offering to Mt. Moriah automatically withdrawn from your checking or savings account! It’s called “First Fruit Giving.” This service is being provided free for us by the West Ohio United Methodist Credit Union, Mt. Moriah’s bank. The “First Fruit Giving” direct payment service is a way of giving to the church that combines the convenience available with today’s banking methods with the biblical principles of tithing. Give first to the Lord and the rest of your obligations will fall into place.
Here’s all you do:
(1) Sign an Authorization Agreement and enclose a voided check or deposit slip (an authorization agreement form is available at the Information Table and in the church office)
(2) Choose when you want to give; once a week, on the 1st and 15th of each month, or once a month
(3) Mail to West Ohio UMCU at 431 Ohio Pike, Suite 100, Cincinnati, OH 45255, and “First Fruit Giving” does the rest. You do not have to be a member of the credit union to participate.
With this service, your gifts will be held in the strictest confidence. No more checks, no more envelopes, no more catching up. The credit union will make the transfer which you will see on your statement, and send a detailed report each week to Mt. Moriah’s Finance Secretary; she will update her records and forward the amounts to the Treasurer.
West Ohio UMCU is open to all united Methodists. They offer the same services that banks offer including checking, savings, certificates of deposit and VISA cards.
